On the Market
I have accepted a postdoc at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I have
joint positions with the Department of Mathematics and the Department of
Epidemiology. I expect to apply for a tenure-track job this fall (2007).
In addition to downloading my cv you may want to check
out my research. Teaching and research
statements are available upon request.
Research
I am interested in number theory and arithmetic geometry with an emphasis
on elliptic curves over function fields, their L-functions, and related
topics. If you are interested in these topics, then you might consider
checking out some of my papers.
Twins
In my thesis I showed that there are infinitely
many twin-prime pairs f,f-1 in F_q[t] (for 'most' q), a function-field
analogue of the well-known (open) problem in Z.
On 3/25/05 twins made a more significant impact on my life with the birth of
my sons Moby and Kelvin (pictured above). My wife maintains a wonderful
blog
with pictures of them.
