Geometry Seminar: Parabolic bundles and stack of roots by Niels Borne (Lille University) in RLM 9.166
Given a pointed Riemann surface (X,D), the parabolic bundles are defined as bundles with an additional structure at the marked points, they appear naturally trough their link with the representations of the fundamental group of X-D. This notion can also be defined in the algebraic setting, in any dimension, for an algebraic variety X endowed with a divisor D. I will try to explain how parabolic bundles can be better understood as ordinary bundles on a certain Deligne-Mumford stack over X, the stack of (r-th) roots of (X,D). Submitted by
