Partial Differential Equations and Applications
Unique number: 57170
Instructor: Dr Aram Karakhanyan
Lectures: TTh 12.30-2.00pm RLM 5.116
Office Hours: TTh 5-6pm
Textbook: Applied Partial Differential Equations , by Richard Haberman
Some of the course materials will be provided through Blackboard
Syllabus: We will try to cover the first 12 Chapters of the book with some sections skipped.
Midterm Exams: First in-class exam TBA
Second in-class exam May 7
Final Exam:
| SATURDAY, MAY 16, 9-12 N |
| ENS 126 |
Grading: We are going to have homework assigned weekly, 2 midterm exams and a final. First midterm exam counts 100 points. A comprehensive second midterm exam counts 200 points. The homework taken together counts 100 points.
You will not need to take a final exam on the regular final schedule if your accumulative grade is A or if you do not wish to improve it. If your grade is lower than A then you can take the final exam. In that case it will count 300 points and replace both midterm exams. This could only improve the final grade.
Homework
- Homeworks will be collected at the beginning of class
- Late homeworks will not be accepted
- Make sure your homework is written neatly and stapled
