There are math degrees that specialize in actuarial studies, but also options for students who don't want to major in math.  Actuarial studies is also available as an informal concentration and is open to students in any major.

Many students who already have an undergraduate degree choose to participate in the actuarial studies program as a non-degree-seeking candidate; such students typically follow the same pattern of classes as math majors.
