Quest Assignment
Each week you will have a 5-10 problem Quest assignment. Quest is an online homework server that you will access with your UTEID. You will gain access to each assignment on Monday and it will be due the following Sunday. The lowest two Quest assignments will be dropped.

Book Assignments
Each week you will be given a set of homework problems from the text. Some of these problems will graded for completion and some for correctness. The weekly book work assignments will be posted on Monday and will be due the following Wednesday (10 days later) at the beginning of class. NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED. Three of the lowest book assignments will be dropped.

ALEKS pie
You must purchase an ALEKS code and complete the assessment by the end of the first full week of class. Upon completion of the assessment, an individual pie diagram is created based on your individual strengths and weaknesses and how they relate to the course objectives. As you work through the course objectives via the ALEKS system, your pie will fill in as you master the topics. By the first exam, you must have 33 % of your pie completed.  By the second exam, you must have 66 % of your pie completed; By the third exam, you must have completed your pie.  Each benchmark will count 5 points on the corresponding exam.

Weekly Worksheets
In discussion each week you will be given a challenging worksheet.  With guidance from the TA, you will work in small groups to discuss and work through these problems.  The worksheet will be submitted for a grade the following week in discussion.  The worksheet must be submitted at the beginning of class.  NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED.
