August 20-25, 2007 - Sign up for advising with the Graduate Advisor

August 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 2007- English Assessment Tests for new international Teaching Assistants, go to http://www.utexas.edu/international/isss/students/new/ita.shtml for instructions and to make an appointment

August 22, 2007 - International Student Teaching Assistant Workshop, 1:00-5:00 p.m., location to be announced

August 20, 2008- All new graduate students must check in with Nancy Lamm on or before this date

August 22, 2008- 1:00-3:00 - Room TBA - College of Natural Sciences Orientation including Payroll and Insurance

August 21, 2008 - All new Teaching Assistants must submit their schedules to the TA Scheduler by noon on this day!

August 23 and August 24 - Registration for new graduate students

August 22, 2008 - New Graduate Students/New Faculty Reception for Mathematics, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., The Texas Union (UNB), Eastwood Room. Dress is casual.

August 27, 2007 - Mathematics Department and Graduate Library Orientation, 2:00-3:00, RLM 5.104

August 28, 2007 - "Gone to Texas", 8:00 p.m., at the Tower

August 27, 2008 -  Classes begin

August 29, 2007 - 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. - Annual Fall BBQ and Information Fair for all graduate students, Etter-Harbin Alumni Center, www.utgsa.org
