Activities/Projects:
§ (4/1/06-present) Working under Joe England at Applied Research Laboratories:  I began work in April 2006, obtained a secret level security clearance and learned about active sonar and underwater acoustics.  I have been dealing mostly with acoustic data from destroyers in Matlab and C++ to eventually find tactical uses for the U.S. Navy.
I moved to a sonar analyst position under program manager, Joe Clements, and have been working on development of analytical tools, at-sea training, and data reconstruction.

§ (8/1/2005-12/1/2006) Assisting Professor Todd Arbogast with research at the Center for Subsurface Modeling.  Dr. Arbogast's method of numerical subgrid upscaling of two-phase flow in porous media greatly reduces time of computation with limited loss of accuracy in most cases.  For those cases in which the accuracy decays more significantly, I developed a package of codes in order to run many tests of his code and calculate errors.  The goal is to give others a better understanding of the numerical scheme by comparing the theory to actual results obtained from testing.  More on the research including images here.

§ United States Marine Corps(5/2003-5/2007):  In May 2003 I entered the enlisted Marine Corps to serve as an Artillery Fire Control Man(0844) on reserve status in order to complete my degree.  After training at MCRD and Camp Pendleton, I returned to Texas for school and to fulfill duties at my station in NAS/JRB Ft. Worth.
