David Marshall is an Assistant Professor of mathematics at Monmouth University where he has been on the faculty since 2004. He received his Ph. D. from the University of Arizona in 2000 and spent two years each at both McMaster University and The University of Texas at Austin. He teaches the full spectrum of mathematics courses from Liberal Arts Mathematics and Math for Future Elementary School Teachers to Number Theory, Geometry, and Abstract Algebra. David has been teaching an Inquiry-Based Number Theory course since being introduced to the method at The University of Texas in 2002, and has also co-authored Number Theory Through Inquiry with co-directors Ted Odell and Mike Starbird.
