1.  To use Matlab, type "matlab" on the xterm window.
2.   For tutorials on how to use a particular item in Matlab use either:

        a.      Demo
                  Type "demo" at the prompt.  Then pick a subject that you would like to learn about
                   (Eg. Matrices)
        b.        Help
                    Type "help (command)" to give a detailed description on the command you are
                    requesting more information about.
3.  To quit Matlab, type "quit".

1.  To use Mathematica, type "mathematica" on the xterm window.
2.   For help in Mathematica, use the help icon on the top right corner of the window.
 

Maple

1.  To use Maple, type "xmaple" on the xterm window.
2.   For help on a topic in Maple, use the help icon in the upper right corner of the window.
       You can perform a topic search by selecting "topic search".
