Abstract. We present a review on the random geometry of equilibrium phases.
Percolation methods are used to study the nature of equilibrium
statistical mechanical systems. Important themes are random-cluster
representations, uniqueness and exponential mixing from non-percolation,
and phase transitions from percolation.
