[Maxima] Maxima Help on Windows XP prevents access to xmaxima 5.11.0

Can someone take a look at this?

When the stand-alone Windows help browser is open,
Xmaxima doesn't respond -- it only shows an empty window with
an hourglass cursor in it. I'm hoping it is something relatively simple.
