[Maxima] [wxm] how to suppress automatic evaluation

hello experts,

loading a worksheet into wxMaxima(0.7.1) all inputs are evaluted automatically showing
results immediately.
But I want the students going step by step along the sheet delaying the evaluation of the
inputs, 'predicting' the results by head and afterwards verifying via Maxima.
