Expanding integrate, diff, etc to better handle step and impulse
functions seems like a good idea; I think we get requests for that
pretty often.

As a tangential issue we might consider a way to convert between
if/then/else and unit_step or delta expressions.
Sometimes it is easier to formulate a problem one way,
sometimes the other.
