[Maxima] Again $table function, speed/functionality improved

Ziga,

Very nice work, thank you.  I've used Mathematica for along 
time, and I have been missing the very convenient 
functionality of table.  One question: is the name really 
"$table", with a "$"?  I would much prefer it to be "table".
