FWIW, I normally run maxima on Solaris, but with cmucl, so maxima does
get tested quite often on Solaris.  I do build with ecl and occasionally
run  maxima's test suite there.  There are extra failures with ecl
compared to cmucl and clisp. Most have to do with floating point
issues.  I have been too lazy to investigate them in any detail, but the
issues appear to be that ecl is off by one bit.
