[Maxima] paper on continued fraction with maxima

Thank you for the interesting paper.  It might be useful to compare
what you have done with the existing internal 'cf' function, which if
I'm not mistaken was written by Bill Gosper -- his approach is
documented in his note on continued fractions in Hakmem (1972), item
101 (http://www.inwap.com/pdp10/hbaker/hakmem/cf.html).

By the way, what do you mean by an 'autonomous' program in your paper?
