Hmm, I see that now.  But when you go to the main download page at
sourceforge <http://sourceforge.net/projects/maxima/files/>, the Maxima
directory is shown, and the most recent version in that directory is 17.0.
You have to go to the bottom of the listing and open a different directory
(Maxima-Windows etc.) to see more recent versions.  This seems perverse.
