May not be included in the major requirement for the Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree
with a major in mathematics. In some colleges M301 cannot be counted toward the Area
C requirement or toward the total hours required for a degree. Credit for M301 may NOT
be earned after a student has received credit for any calculus course with a grade of at
least C. Mathematics Level I test is not required.
Course description:
Topics include a brief review of elementary algebra; linear, quadratic, exponential, and
logarithmic functions; polynomials; systems of linear equations; applications. Usually
offered only in the summer session.
