M328K Introduction to Number Theory, Adriana Sofer
Homework #4 due 2/14.
3.3 p.93: 2(b)(c), 4(b)(c).
3.1 p.76: 2, 4, 6, 12, 16, 24.
Prove that, if p is a prime, a is an integer, and p does not divide a,
then gcd(p,a)=1.
Use the E.A. to show that 143 and 343 are relatively prime. Then
find
integers x and y such that: 143x+343y=-10.
