Homework: Homework assignments are posted on this website on a weekly basis and are due at the indicated dates (normally on Mondays) AT THE BEGINNING OF CLASS. Selected problems will be graded and grades will be posted on UT Direct's e-gradebook. No late homework will be accepted. However, the two lowest homework grades of each student will be dropped.
Student Presentations: Occasionally, students will present their work to the rest of the class.
Tests: There will be two 50 min, in-class tests, two short, in-class quizzes and a Final comprehensive exam on the following dates:
| Quiz 1 | Friday 2/1 | |
| Test 1 | Wednesday 2/20 | |

| Final | 58695 (12pm class): Saturday 5/10, 9-12 |
Course Grade: The course grade will be computed according to the following:
| homework | 10% | |
| two quizzes | 5% each | |
| two tests | 25% each | |
| final | 30% |
An A will correspond to a number grade strictly bigger than 89; a B, same with 79; a C, same with 69; a D, same with 59.
Students with Disabilities: The University of Texas at Austin provides upon request appropriate academic accommodations for qualified students with disabilities. For more information, contact the Office of the Dean of Students at 471-6259, 471-4641 TTY.
Make-up Policy: There are no make-ups for homeworks, as the two lowest grades of each student are dropped when computing the final homework grade. Make-ups for Tests 1 and 2 are offered to students with a documented excuse for missing the scheduled test. The instructor should be contacted as soon as possible to make the relevant arrangements.
