About Me
I am a third year graduate student in mathematics at UT Austin. I
received my undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois in
Urbana Champaign. I grew up in Chicago, IL, which is still one of my
favorite cities in the country.
Teaching
This semester I am teaching:
- M408C (Accelerated
Calc I) for Prof. John Dollard.
- Worksheets:
In the summer of 2012 I worked as a teaching assistant at the
Summer
Program for Women in Math (SPWM)
at George Washington University. If you are an undergraduate woman
interested in math, check it out!
In previous semesters I have taught:
- Fall 2012: M305G for Dr. Amanda Hager, Graded for M373K for Sean
Keel
- Spring 2012: M408D for Prof. Ray Heitmann
- Fall 2011: M408C for Prof. Kathy Davis
- Spring 2011: On departmental fellowship.
- Fall 2010: M408K for Dr. Elif Seckin
Research
I am interested in algebraic number theory and algebraic
geometry. In particular, the Brauer Manin obstruction to the Hasse
principle. My advisor is
Felipe Voloch.

- I am currently organizing the Junior Number Theory Seminar at UT
Austin: 2pm on Tuesdays in RLM 9.166
- I
recently attended the 2013 Arizona Winter School and worked in one of
Ken Ono's project groups. We just submitted a draft of our paper that resulted from our work there (see below).
