Grading:

Your grades will be posted on the CLIPS website.

Homework:  Homework will be assigned in class and will be collected at the beginning of class on Fridays. I do not accept late homework, period. If you are late to class, your homework is late and will not be accepted. Your lowest 3 homework grades will be dropped. If you know you are going to miss a class get your homework to me before it is due.

Quizzes: There will often be a short (5-10 minute) quiz at the beginning of class. I do not give make-up quizzes (even if you miss class for good reason); however, your lowest 3 quiz grades will be dropped.

Tests: There will be three 50-minute midterm exams. If you cannot make it to one of the midterms, you must let me know before the day of  the test. Make up exams are only given in cases where there is a documented excuse. The midterm test dates are:

  1. Midterm 1: Friday, September 19th
  2. Midterm 2: Friday, October 24th
  3. Midterm 3: Wednesday, November 26th

Final Exam: Implicit in registering for this class is your agreement that you will be present to take the final exam at the time listed in the course offerings.

October 22, Last day to drop with dean’s approval
