Extensions, Separability, and Property LR

This talk was based on research I was doing in the theory of local retractions in groups; specifically, I show how to virtually retract onto certain infinite cyclic subgroups of amalgams of free groups over cyclic groups. Currently, Henry Wilton and I are working on extended these results to many graphs of free groups with cyclic edge groups (see papers)
