      Grading:

Your grades will be posted on the CLIPS website.

Homework:  Homework will be assigned each lecture and due the following lecture. That is to say, homework assigned Monday is due Wednesday, homework assigned Wednesday is due Friday, and homework assigned Friday is due the following Monday. Homework is due within the first 10 minutes of class on the day it is due. I do not accept late homework, period. Your lowest 3 homework grades will be dropped. If you know you are going to miss a class get your homework to me before it is due.

Quizzes: There will be a short (5-10 minute) quiz at the beginning of discussion section most Tuesdays and Thursdays. I do not give make-up quizzes (even if you miss class for good reason); however, your lowest 3 quiz grades will be dropped.

Tests: There will be three 50 minute midterm exams. If you cannot make it to one of the midterms, you must let me know before the day of  the test. Make up exams are only given in cases where there is a documented excuse. The midterm test dates are:

  1. Midterm 1: Wednesday February 6
  2. Midterm 2: Friday March 7
  3. Midterm 3: Friday April 11

Final Exam: The final exam is comprehensive. Implicit in registering for this class is your agreement that you will be present to take the final exam at the time listed in the course offerings and (tentatively) given below.

  1. Final Exam: Tuesday May 13, 9 am-12 pm
