Also, everyone should be able to give at least one explanation of why the formula for the area of a triangle really gives the area of the triangle.

Friday 9/23: Write-ups for 12.2 and 12.3 are due at the beginning of class.

Monday 9/26: Do 12.4: CA (12H,12I), PE (1,2,3,4), P (2,3,4,5,7,10) and 12.5: CA (12L,12M), PE (1,2), P(6,7,8,9)
Where CA=Class Activity, PE=Practice Exercise, P=Problem.
Write-up (at least) one of the PROBLEMS from each section (just P, NOT CA or PE).

and prepare a proof of the Pythagorean theorem (including justifying that shapes that look like squares or rectangles are indeed squares or rectangles.)
