Answers to warm-ups on repeating Decimals
1. 52.3, 523, 5230. Multiplying by 10 moves the decimal point one
place the right, multiplying by 100 moves ii two placed to the right, and
so on.
2. The "..."means that the pattern (in this case, 23) continues.
So 5.232323 is a terminating decimal but 5.232323...
is a repeating, nonterminationg decimal. This also means that 5.232323
is smaller than 5.232323... .
3. 52.32323 ... , 523.232323 ... , 5232.3232323
...
4. The decimal point moves over two to the right, so you need to multiply
by 100.
