MASTER'S REPORT (MS in Statistics)
Students in the MS in Statistics program must write a Master's Report to
complete their degrees. The Master's report is normally written during the
last semester in the degree program.
Arranging a report supervisor, reader, and topic
- The student is responsible for finding a report supervisor and reader.
- The supervisor must be a member of the Statistics Graduate
Studies Committee.
- Occasionally, there will be two Co-supervisors rather than a supervisor
and reader; one of these may be outside the Statistics GSC. This option may
require special approval of the Graduate School. It is the student's responsibility
to obtain such approval.
- Occasionally a committee will consist of three members rather than
two.
- The student should make arrangements for the report the semester before their last semester. The first step is to consult the list of Graduate Studies
Committee (GSC) Members for information on members' interests. Then the
student needs to contact appropriate members of the GSC to arrange a supervisor,
a topic, and a second reader.
