Text: Salas and Hille and Etgen, Calculus, 8th edition

Topics: Chapters 1 through 4 and parts of Chapter 7. A detailed syllabus can be found at

Grades: Homework 10%. Assigned Friday mornings and due Friday morning one week later.

Exams 60%.: Three exams will be held October 3, October 31 and December 5 from 7 to 9PM. Exams are not cumulative. Make-up exams are available for documented medical or personal reasons only. No exam scores will be dropped.

Short Quizzes 5%: (in class quizzes from time to time)

Final 25%: Two hour, cumulative exam on the date scheduled by the registrar
