Topics: Chapters 5 through 11. A detailed syllabus can be found on the 408L website (see below).

Grades: Homework 10%.  Posted on the server.

Exams 60%.  Three exams will be held February 13, March 27 and April 24 from 7 to 9PM. Exams are not cumulative. Make-up exams are available for documented medical or personal reasons only. No exam scores will be dropped.

Short Quizzes 5%.  (short quizzes will be given occasionally in lecture or discussion).

Final 25%.  Two hour, cumulative exam on the date scheduled by the registrar (the date is likely to be close to May 9).

Curving:  If necessary (there was a 5 point curve last fall in M408K).
