Welcome to the home page of Dr. Michael Starbird
Short Bio: Michael Starbird is Professor of Mathematics and a University
Distinguished Teaching Professor at The University of Texas at Austin. He received
his B.A. degree from Pomona College and his Ph.D. in mathematics from the
University of Wisconsin, Madison. He joined the faculty of
the Department of Mathematics of The University of Texas at Austin, where he has stayed
except for leaves as a Visiting Member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton,
New Jersey; a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of California, San Diego;
and a member of the technical staff at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
