1.  Find a constant solution of the equation 

     y" + 3y' + 2y =  16.

Now give the general solution.


2. Give the values of b for which the equation

   y" + by' + 9y = 0

has non-oscillatory solutions. You may use pplane or algebra.

3.  Find the solution of

    y" -5y' + 4 y = 0

with y(1) = 1 and y'(1) = 0.

4. Find the general solution of y" + 2y' + 2y = 0.


5. Find the general solution of y''' + 8 y = 0. 
(That really is y triple prime, or the 3rd derivative of y).
