maxima-x.x.tgz:   sources for maxima a symbolic algebra system.  Recommend
using gcl as the underlying lisp.

gnuplot-3.5a.tgz: source for gnuplot 3.5, modified by wfs so as to
allow arbitrary size input expressions and line lengths.  Very useful
when the expressions are generated by machine, but in any event good
to remove all builtin 'fascist limits' as rms would say.

xgraph-11a.tgz: xgraph program, used by maxima for some plots.

affine.tgz: a set of extensions for maxima which allow things like,
todd-coxeter algorithm, non commutative grobner basis and many more.

affine-sun4-5.2-bin.tgz: a binary for sun4 or solaris for affine, using
maxima-5.2
