« Default Reminders »

This form lets you setup the default reminders. Please keep in mind that the default settings are applied to new events as default. Reminders are set on individual events, and you can change them at any time.

If you set a negative trigger time for a reminder, it effectively disable that reminder on your calendar. No matter what the settings are on an event, that reminder will never fire.

Some browsers require human intervention to display popup windows, or spawn audio players. In rare cases, unattended visual/audio reminders may cause keyboard lockup. If this happens to you, you can disable all audio/visual reminders this way.

There are two visual reminders: popup window and a blink icon, one audio reminder and an email reminder. The first three reminders are executed by your browser, they work only if you're online and have a browser visiting your calendar. The email reminder is handled by a daemon process running on your webserver.

Reminders are triggered at times before the event. Multiple triggering time may be specified. For example, if an audio remider is set to 5,10,15, you'll hear chimes from you computer speaker 15, 10 and 5 minutes before the event.

You can configure your calendar so that it sends you a summary of your daily activities every morning. To do so, check choice Y next to the text Send me daily reminders.
