Basic Factsheet about Kyle
My mathematical interests include:
That's not to say I do research in all these areas; I just find
them interesting.
In computer science -
- compilers and languages, esp. functional
- parallel programming
- scientific simulation
- game design (and playing)
- AI, especially as relates to games and learning
- information theory, compression
In the intersection of the two categories above, I have
recently developed a deep interest in theorem proving
systems and computer algebra systems.
Other interests -
I've thought of combining these interests; for example, writing computer
programs to do math, play chess, or create music; however, these things
take copious amounts of time, which I assume I'll have lots of later but
have very little of right now.
