NOTE: in the subject line, include "m305g am" if you are in the morning
class and "m305g pm" if you are in the afternoon class.
note: you are welcome to call me (475-8684) if you want to try to get
an immediate answer, but i never check my phone messages (ever), so
if i don't answer the phone, you better email me.
HANDOUTS
IMPORTANT: you are responsible for knowing EVERYTHING
in the handouts, even if i forgot to mention it in class!
keep your policy handout. do not lose it! read the homework
guidelines and follow them. be aware of when tests and
other important dates are. know the absence/make-up policy.
etc.
trigonometry is a very visual subject. therefore i have collected a
variety of diagrams -- and even some animations -- from around the web to
help you visualize important concepts.
some stuff i don't quite know what to
do with but is cool. more stuff and even
more stuff (in this last stuff
it is clearly demonstrated that the ancient celts ripped off 20th century
scientists for their artistic designs).
ANNOUNCEMENTS
aug 30. welcome to precalc!
aug 30. i have created a discussion forum on blackboard
(see link at top right of this page). perhaps you will find it useful
and perhaps not, but it is there. you will have to log in with
your UT EID.
sep 6. morning class:
i assigned the wrong problems! please ignore everything from
1.2 for now. if you already did them, that's fine, but they will be due
monday instead.
to see what today's assignment should have been, scroll down and check the
homework.
sep 6. afternoon class: as mentioned in class today, i changed my office
hours from 2-3 to 1:30-2:30, same days.
sep 8. morning class: to remind you of what i said in class and be
perfectly clear: whatever problems from 1.2 and 1.3 that you didn't
hand in today, are due on monday. scroll down and check the
homework.
sep 11. morning class: reminder of new office hour. wednesday office hour
change from 9-10am to 11-12am. so in summary: MF 9-10, W11-12.
sep 22.
concerning the test next wednesday: i haven't made it yet, but it
will likely be all multiple choice, between 10 and 20 problems, and you
should have no trouble finishing in 50 minutes -- or less -- if you are
prepared. no calculators, no notes. some formulas supplied
- see handout.
sep 23. i scanned aidali's notes - a complete set so far! if you were a late
add, or you missed a day, you might find them useful. thanks aidali!

i moved it to a separate page. use the link at the top of this page.
NOTES
sometimes, for no apparent reason, notes will appear
