Teaching Information:

·        Fall 2008:

Differential Calculus, M408K, Sections 58320 and 58395

·       Past Semesters

Research:

My research is in the area of Commutative Algebra. I graduated from the Department of Mathematics at Purdue University  under the direction of Professor Bernd Ulrich. Some of the things I am interested in are the study of the core of ideals and modules, residual intersection theory and the study of Rees algebras.

If you are interested in reading some more about me here is a copy of my most recent resume, research statement, and teaching statement.

Publications:

  • The core of ideals versus reduction numbers, in preparation.
  • The cl-core of an ideal, with Janet Vassilev, submitted for publication. Here’s a copy of it that’s on the Arxiv.
  • Annihilators of Graded Components of the Canonical Module and the Core of Standard Graded Algebras,  with Claudia Polini and Bernd Ulrich, to appear in Transactions of the American Mathematical Society.
  • The core of ideals in arbitrary characteristic, with Claudia Polini and Bernd Ulrich, Michigan Math. J. 57 (2008), 305-319. Here’s a copy of it that’s on the Arxiv
  • Computing the core of ideals in arbitrary characteristic, J. Algebra 319 (2008), 2855-2867. Here’s a copy of it that’s on the Arxiv.
  • A study on the core of ideals, Ph. D. thesis under the direction of Professor Bernd Ulrich.

Professional Activities:

  • I am a reviewer for Zentralblatt. Here’s more information.
  • I am co-organizating a special session on Commutative Algebra, Module and Ideal Theory, AMS Sectional Meeting Waco, Texas in October 2009. Here’s more information.
