Sebastian Schulz, RLM 12.166: Langlands duality for Hitchin systems
Tuesday, March 05, 2019, 04:00pm - 05:00pm
Associated to a reductive algebraic group and an algebraic curveis a certain moduli space known as the Hitchin system. It comesequipped with a projection to an affine space, the generic fibersof which are polarized abelian varieties. Replacing the groupby its Langlands dual gives an "SYZ-mirror" Hitchin system: itprojects to the same base but its canonical fibers are the dualpolarized abelian varieties. I will give some hints of the generalstory and illustrate the phenomenon in a concrete example.
