Ali Shehper, Zoom: Even more on fractons
Wednesday, September 30, 2020, 12:00pm - 01:00pm
I will discuss the newly devised notion of "Foliated Quantum Field Theory" (2008.03852). Theories of this kind depend on a choice of foliation(s) on the spacetime manifold; and their field space contains "foliated gauge fields". I will discuss the particular example of foliated QFT that describes the low energy physics of the X-cube model. (Notes of this talk are available on the GST website.)
