Abstract. We analyze dynamics of sliding and spinning rigid bodies on a flat surface with arbitrary axisymmetric distribution of normal pressures on the contact surface and masses within the body. We show that the motion can not finish with arbitrary spin and slide velocities. We establish a specific condition on the two velocities during the final stage of the motion of the body and derive exact and closed form expressions both for the total time of motion and the distance traveled.
