Welcome to the Austin Math Adventure! Students learn how to play (and win) the game of Nim. Now we're making the Borromean rings. This is pretty tricky... Problem solved! Here are th Borromean rings from a different angle. A "hat game" -- how do you figure out what color hat you're wearing? It's a beautiful day for outdoor math games. One student explains his solution. Do you see an even number of hats, or an odd number? This hat game can be exhausting. A new game -- can you hang the string on Justin's hands in such a way that, if he were to remove either hand, the string would fall? Here it is after Justin removes one hand. Another solution in progress. Students explore permutations through this frisbee game. |
