While there won’t be a huge amount of free time during the conference, we want to provide you with a few insider tips for the time you do have to possibly explore Austin. First, the Austin CapMetro bus will take you to all of the following destinations. If you don’t want to wait for a bus, a cab can be called and shared by 3-4 people for a roundtrip of about $20 (approximate fare to more distant spots listed below).

Movies

Alamo Drafthouse

Catch a movie with your dinner (or just a drink) at this Austin institution. The downtown Alamo is conveniently located on 6th Street, between Trinity and San Jacinto (in the former Ritz bar).

Dobie Center

Another movie venue and this one is right on campus, in the Dobie Center tower on the southwest corner of campus - 2021 Guadalupe St.
