Each research workshop will be preceded by events designed to prepare graduate students and recent graduates.
These preparatory events will be organized as part of UT’s Junior Geometry seminar series. (See schedule above.) UT-Austin has a large population of graduate students interested in geometry, algebraic geometry, geometric PDE, and low-dimensional topology. All these students will be invited to participate in preparatory seminars spanning approximately half a semester. The seminars will begin with a review of complex geometry. Then interested graduate students will prepare and present material from relevant research papers, with the guidance and support of involved faculty and instructors.
