In this talk, I firstly explain the definition and properties of variation of Hodge structures as a topic in transcendental algebraic geometry. Then, I will use this theory to formulate the Hodge-Theoretic mirror symmetry, which is the earliest version of mirror symmetry. If time permits, I will use the mirror symmetry of quintic threefolds as an example.
