Final Grades are in! They are posted outside my office. The cutoffs were 88% for an A, 76% for a B, 63% for a C and 50% for a D. For the people who took the final, we assigned 29 As, 30 Bs, 28 Cs, 10 Ds and 2 Fs.Final Exam: Monday, May 13, 2-5 PM. The same ground rules as the midterms applied, except that you are allowed two crib sheets instead of one. Calculators were not allowed. Class average was 68. Solutions are posted below.
Midterms:
The first midterm will be Tuesday, February 5. The exam is closed book, but you are allowed to make and bring a single 8.5 x 11 2-sided "crib sheet". You can write what you want on the crib sheet -- formulas, worked problems, inspirational messages, whatever -- but it must be in your own handwriting. Xeroxing material from the book, or from anywhere else, is not allowed. Calculators are not allowed.2nd midterm: Thursday, March 7. The same ground rules as the first exam will apply. In particular, calculators are not allowed.
3rd midterm: Thursday, April 11. The same ground rules as the first exam will apply. In particular, calculators are not allowed.
