BONUS ASSIGNMENT #1: Read Section 2.4, and do questions 2, 4, 16, 28, 30, 33, 39. This assignment is worth 1% of your final grade in extra credit.
Here's the deal: Section 2.4 in the book does the precise definition of limits. This is not covered in our syllabus, but is interesting (if quite challenging!) if you like math. Here's how to get credit for the bonus:
  1) By Friday, March 2 you must come talk to me in office hours about the assignment, demonstrating that you've read the section and thought about the questions. Unless you do this, you won't be eligible to hand it in. I recommend not putting this off until the last minute!
  2) On Friday, March 9 the assignment is due; hand it in by the end of lecture.
Wednesday, February 8 (due Friday, February 10): Section 2.6: 42, 44, 45; Section 2.7: 18, 20, 22, 36, 48. Solutions.
Friday, February 10 (due Wednesday, February 15): Section 2.8: 8, 12, 16, 24; Section 3.1: 18, 24, 34, 44. Solutions.
Friday, February 17 (due Wednesday, February 22): Section 3.2: 2, 4, 10, 20, 22, 28, 32, 50. Solutions.
Wednesday, February 22 (due Friday, February 24): Section 3.3: 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 18, 22, 31. Solutions.

Friday, March 2 (due Wednesday, March 7): Section 3.5: 2, 20, 28, 50, 58; Section 3.6: 8, 14, 32, 44, 48. Solutions.
Wednesday, March 7 (due Friday, March 9): Section: 3.5: 22, 26, 52, 56; Section 3.6: 32, 40, 46, 50. Solutions.
Friday, March 9 (due Wednesday, March 21): Section 3.9: 13, 14, 16, 18, 22, 27, 28, 35. Solutions.
Wednesday, March 21 (due Friday, March 23): Section 3.10: 4, 6, 24, 28, 32(a), 36 (use linear approximations: we aren't doing differentials). Solutions.
Friday, March 23 (due Wednesday, March 28): Section 3.10: 2, 26, 34 (use linear approximation instead of differentials), 44; Section 4.1: 4, 6, 8, 10, 14. Solutions.
